OUR COVID 19 POLICY
Despite COVID-19 isolation restrictions being lifted nationally, health care settings have not been instructed to change their infection control policies, procedures, or PPE requirements. A review is expected in March / April 2022. As a result, we will be keeping our current policies and procedures in place to continue to protect our clients, our team, those who are clinically vulnerable and other users of the building.
We still are required to ensure that you understand the risks of COVID-19 and our joint responsibilities in keeping our clients, other building users and staff as safe as possible. Please read the information below carefully.
There is a potential risk of transmission of COVID-19 when attending the clinic and/or receiving treatment in the clinic or your own home. To reduce this risk as much as possible your therapist will wear a face mask for the duration of your treatment session. They will use additional PPE such as gloves and aprons if our risk assessments deem it to be necessary. We will continue to adhere to strict infection control procedures.
You must not attend physiotherapy if you have had a positive LFD or PCR test result, or if you have any of the following symptoms:
-
Fever (Temperature of above 37.9)
-
Shortness of Breath
-
Loss of Sense of Taste or Smell
-
Symptoms of respiratory illness (e.g. severe cold symptoms, sore throat, coughing)
You must inform your therapist if you, or anyone you have been in contact with has developed symptoms of COVID-19 within 10 days of attending physiotherapy.
If you have had a positive PCR or LFD result, please follow the government guidance on coming out of isolation prior to returning to physiotherapy. If you are unsure about whether to attend, please contact your therapist.
